Execution dockets, 1835-1859.

This series consists of execution dockets which are a record of receipts of debts after the court judgments and of writs of execution. Included are the execution number, the note number, the date of judgement, the names of the parties involved in the suit, the amount of the judgment, the amount of court costs, the residence of the parties, place where county or circuit court was held, the date when the judgment was handed to the Branch Bank Marshall, and remarks concerning the payment of the judgment. Notes in pencil have been added, referring to payments due and court dockets. Also included are notes pertaining to the writs of execution placed on the goods and chattels of the debtor. This series is similar to the series titled "Firm book." The execution dockets are records that were kept by the Branch Bank Marshall. Also included may be the name of the Branch Bank attorney.
